What we collect

When you submit an inspection request we collect your name, phone number, email address, neighborhood or ZIP code, the service you are interested in and anything you write in the message field. If you call us, we keep a record of the call and the notes taken.

Our site records standard analytics, pages viewed, approximate location, device and referring source. We do not collect payment details through this website.

How we use it

• To contact you about the inspection or quote you requested.
• To schedule, perform and warranty work at your property.
• To send occasional maintenance reminders, which you can opt out of at any time.
• To understand which pages help homeowners and which do not.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share your contact details with other contractors, lead brokers or marketing lists. The only third parties who receive your information are the service providers we need to run the business, meaning our scheduling software, our financing partners if you request financing, and our email provider. Each one is bound by contract to use it only for that purpose.

Text messages

If you provide a mobile number we may text you about scheduling. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of texts entirely; this does not affect your service or warranty.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to make the site work and analytics cookies to measure traffic. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to function.

Your rights

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@basementwaterproofingportland.online and we will respond within 30 days. Note that we retain project and warranty records for as long as the warranty is active, since we cannot honour a warranty we have no record of.

Data security

Form submissions are transmitted over TLS. Records are stored in access-controlled systems, and only staff who need them can see them. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold ourselves to the standard we would want for our own information.

Children

This site is not directed at anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted on our homepage for 30 days.
