Two Cracks, One Afternoon in Sellwood

The situation

Water appeared on the floor along one wall every time the rain settled in for a week, and the owner had been told by two companies that the whole basement needed a drainage system. Nobody had traced where the water actually entered.

What we did

A hose test isolated the entry to two vertical cracks, one of them hairline. Both were injected with low-pressure polyurethane (opens in a new tab) through the full wall thickness, resin appeared at the exterior face on both, confirming the void was gone. Ports removed and the wall ground flush the same afternoon.

The outcome

Zero water through two subsequent wet seasons, verified with a moisture meter on both visits. Total spend was a small fraction of the lowest drainage quote the owner had received.
